Sad Day, My old faithful surfing cup was viciously broken by Sean. He accidently kicked it over the kerb (poncing wax again) and spilled its precious contents. Off to vinnies to find a replacement. But really , Who cares when the surf is so good. Paddles at at 6.30. and caught a wicked right hander straight away. 6/10. Dont you just love the pre dawn light. Spoke to Matt about extra large wet suits on sale, should get my one fixed. Also got two lovley lefts, one with a steep take off, lovley face, did a wicked turn on one the second. 6/10. Best wave was my last right, sucky and did some wicked pumping turns. Must fly, my brother has just showed up form Hong Kong.::: 29th March 2008

Took Bubble Dink (8 ft Single Fin) down beach this morning. Surf ordianary. Caught 3 waves, all 2/10. Bubble dink likes good glasssy waves, not onshore slop. DB is very loose. Will take a bit of getting used to, but I know, One day, I willcatch the best wave of my life on her. - Should be good tomorrow. Ears still dodgy, Drs this arvo.

Did not get down til 7am. Smooth , and small this morning. Chatted to Jim, Sean and Parle. Caught the best wave if the day, 6/10. It closed out on Mick and Parle, and I was in the sweet spot. Yea! Brian was licking his lips and told me I was not allowed to catch any more waves today. However the board was slightly sluggish . 7'4. (Narlar.) Would of been better on the 8 footer. Caugt a left, board did not seem to cut into face, 3/10 , then eaited for 20 mins for last wave. OK, but again the board did not seem too cut into the wave. I reckon it needs bigger waves with more power.

Arrived beach 6.30. Still quite dark. Chatted to Jim and Anton. Caught a nice left, 6/10 and a bigger left, with a nice powerful cut back, 6/10 but fell off. After 20 mins caught a nice right all the way in. Small but did loads of turns 7/10. Chatted to Bruce (Bra's spiritual guru) who took this Pic of me. Great start to a short week.

Down beach at 6.3o. Look pretty ordinary , pissing down. Nearly went home, Geoff (another Mc Coy rider) said, "I'm going for a paddle, so I thought, why not. It was poor at the st end of bra, for 10 Min's, then it started coming in good. First wave was a ripper of a right, steep take off, few nice turns, all the way in. Walked along beach to sth end channel and paddled out again. Scored some fabbo waves, particularly delicious left. 7/10. :: Medicine ball head man snaked me on one, so I dropped in on him. He was not happy, and told me to "Surf over there" I always ignore pricks like that, and will thoroughly enjoy dropping in on the aggressive little cu*t next time. Nice south African guy paddled over and said the greedy little blighter always snakes people, and he was well pleased when I charged the wave and did not pull off. By about 8 am the best waves were gone. Richard paddled out, but was struggling on his new short board. Also chatted to a nice guy called Sam ( has a one yr old boy called Thomas) He had just got back from a trip to Byron. Best surf since that amazing wave 2 weeks ago. Stoked!!!
